The blue line — and, on Amazon at least, oddly quiet about its own specifications
Blue is Bosch’s professional line and green is its DIY line — different machines, different service arrangements, different expectations. They are separated on this site for the same reason Bosch separates them.
Two of the twelve publish almost nothing. The GCM 8 SJL mitre saw listing carries a Bosch Professional part number, a price around €400 to €460, and no blade diameter, no crosscut capacity and no motor rating. On a page where the DeWalt DWS774 at €294 states all three, that is a real obstacle to recommending it — and we have said so on its review.
One listing contradicts itself. The GKT 55 GCE set names a reciprocating saw among its contents, which is not what the product is. Almost certainly a listing error rather than a packing one, and still the sort of thing that ends in a return.
Where it does publish, it publishes well. The GCM 305-254 D states its capacity as a cross-section — 90 × 305 mm — rather than as two independent numbers. That is the honest way to quote a mitre saw, and it is the only listing on this site that does it.
The machines are good and the network behind them is real. On this site the recommendation is usually to check what the listing actually tells you before paying the premium, because in this category Bosch is competing against makers who publish more.
